How Does the Community Partner Program Work?
It’s a fact of life, we all need electricity but imagine if every time a light was turned we could give something back to our community. The Neighbourhood Energy Community Partner Program gives our customers the opportunity to do just that.
The Program works on a very simple premise. Our customer nominates a charity or community group as the recipient of the 10% discount they receive when they pay their bill on time, we make the transfer and it’s done – simple as that!
Depending on our customer’s electricity spend, this could be around $100 a customer per year. If just 100 Neighbourhood Energy customers nominated a particular charity or community group as their chosen partner, their annual fundraising income could be supplemented by up to $10,000. The Community Partner Program is a unique fundraising opportunity with no limit on the revenue that the partner can receive. Quite simply, the more Neighbourhood Energy customers that nominate a partner, the greater the fundraising income will be.
We only ask that customers pay their bills on time. That’s it.
Neighbourhood Energy is a registered fundraiser so customers can claim donations to their chosen charity or community group as a tax deduction if that charity or group has Deductible Gift Recipient status.
